“Scary Movie 6” and “The Mandalorian & Grogu” have surfaced online
In addition to Steven Spielberg’s “The Dish,” two major cinematic hits have officially made their digital debut this week: the sixth installment of the “Scary Movie” franchise and the blockbuster “The Mandalorian & Grogu.”
Despite a tepid critical reception—holding a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes—”Scary Movie 6″ has emerged as the highest-grossing film in the series, pulling in an impressive $230 million at the global box office. The comedy sees the return of franchise veterans Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and Marlon Wayans to their iconic roles.
“The Mandalorian & Grogu,” which hit theaters this past May, grossed $340 million but ultimately failed to recoup its substantial production budget. The film chronicles the latest interstellar exploits of bounty hunter Din Djarin, portrayed by Pedro Pascal, alongside his companion, the Child (Grogu). The star-studded cast also features appearances by Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Martin Scorsese.
