Saros isn’t out yet, but Housemarque is already working on a new game
Housemarque is currently finalizing preparations for the PS5 launch of Saros, slated for April 30, 2026. However, the studio’s focus is already shifting toward its next creative venture.
While PlayStation 5 enthusiasts eagerly anticipate a spiritual successor to the acclaimed Returnal, the development team has begun recruiting for a currently unannounced title. Among the six newly listed openings is a Lead Gameplay Animator position, tasked specifically with contributing to the studio’s “next landmark project.”
According to the job description, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in “shaping the visual identity of our forthcoming breakthrough title.” The studio is seeking industry veterans with extensive experience in high-budget AAA productions and a proven ability to influence a project’s creative direction.
Furthermore, Housemarque is in search of a Lead Graphics Programmer to helm the “next evolutionary step for the studio.” This role will focus on pushing technical boundaries, specifically in the realms of real-time ray tracing, advanced lighting systems, and sophisticated shading techniques.
