Samson: A Tyndalston Story, a game about a man drowning in debt, has received a release date

This project marks the debut of Liquid Swords, a studio established by a cohort of industry veterans renowned for their work on titles like Mad Max and Just Cause.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story, an action-heavy narrative detailing the struggles of a man drowning in debt, is scheduled to arrive on PC on April 8.

The game follows Samson McCray, a gritty “tough guy” and skilled getaway driver who returns to his hometown of Tyndalston burdened by a massive financial liability. After a high-stakes job in St. Louis went south, McCray is left with no choice but to accept any available contract—venturing deep into the criminal underworld to clear his name.

In a recent press release, Liquid Swords founder Christofer Sundberg reflected on his career spent building massive open worlds, noting that for Samson, the team intentionally chose a more streamlined and focused approach. He remarked that “bigger isn’t always better,” explaining that the developers aimed to polish every individual element of the game, concentrating on the core mechanics that make gameplay truly immersive.

Sundberg emphasized that the title avoids unnecessary “bloat,” focusing instead on delivering a dense, high-octane experience for players.
