Marvel Reportedly Needs to Move Quickly as Insider Names Start Date for “Avengers: Secret Wars” Filming
The release date is still set for December 17, 2027.
Filming on Avengers: Secret Wars will begin in February 2027, according to insider Daniel Richtman. The premiere remains scheduled for December 17 of that year. If the report is accurate, Marvel would have only about ten months to produce the film.
That is a tight schedule for a large blockbuster with heavy visual effects. In that time, the filmmakers must complete principal photography, editing and effects work, and possibly reshoots as well.

Even so, insiders believe the studio can meet the schedule. The film’s directors, the Russo brothers, also have experience working at a fast pace, since they shot Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame back to back.
