Epic Games Store Offers 2 Free PC Games This Week
Epic Games Store is giving away two excellent PC titles to its users this week. For a short time only, you can claim a horror shooter and a murder mystery adventure without paying a cent.
Sker Ritual
Sker Ritual is a cooperative horror shooter in which you fight off swarms of terrifying creatures, either on your own or alongside as many as three other players online. Its old-school, wave-based structure keeps the enemies coming without pause. Much as in Hades, divine figures reward you with fresh powers and upgrades, and here it is the Celtic gods who grant you distinctive Miracles to help you survive an endless tide of monsters. The game has earned a Very Positive rating from almost 4,000 player reviews on Steam.
Home — A Unique Horror Adventure
Home is a veteran title that still holds up. Released in 2012, this pixel art horror game begins with your character waking in an unfamiliar house and piecing together a murder mystery. The clues you uncover and the choices you make shape the outcome, so your ending may differ considerably from another player’s. Developer BancyCo also offers a distinctive Postmortem Mode, which includes a developer diary and a gallery that reveal how the game came together.
If Sker Ritual or Home appeals to you, simply sign in to the Epic Games Store and add them to your library. Both remain free until 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 29.
