Sabrina Carpenter Teams Up With Paul McCartney, Apologizes for Crying at Final Short n’ Sweet Tour Show

On November 24, 2025, Sir Paul McCartney shared a backstage photo on Instagram of himself with pop star Sabrina Carpenter, a moment he described as one of the highlights of his ongoing Got Back Tour. The image was posted a day after Carpenter closed out her own Short n’ Sweet Tour.

The snapshot shows McCartney with an arm around Carpenter as she smiles for the camera. Carpenter responded on the post with “best show ever,” and later reposted the photograph to her Instagram Story.

Carpenter also used her Story to commemorate the end of her lengthy run on the road. Her final Short n’ Sweet performance took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on November 23, 2025, and she captioned a backstage photo, “short n sweet tour for life.”

She added a candid aside to fans — “sorry for crying during espresso” — a brief, humanizing note after more than a year of touring. The Short n’ Sweet trek began in September 2024 and included two North American legs as well as a series of European dates.

During the tour Carpenter released the Billboard 200-topping albums Short n’ Sweet and Man’s Best Friend. The latter contains the chart-topping single “Manchild,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The tour was also notable for Carpenter’s playful onstage “arrests,” a recurring bit in which she presented fuzzy pink handcuffs to celebrity guests. Over the run she invited stars such as Millie Bobby Brown, SZA, Gigi Hadid, members of TWICE, and — at the Los Angeles finale — even Miss Piggy, whose appearance prompted an amused, flustered exchange from Carpenter.
