Barbie and Drive star Ryan Gosling has finally addressed the long-standing rumors regarding his potential casting as the MCU’s Ghost Rider.
The actor confirmed that while he has engaged in preliminary discussions with Marvel Studios, those talks have yet to result in a concrete deal.
“We’ll keep our fingers crossed. There have been some conversations, but it’s a complex situation,”
Gosling shared during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. He first publicly expressed his interest in portraying the Spirit of Vengeance back in 2022.
The character was previously brought to life by Nicolas Cage in 2007 and 2011. Those Sony-produced installments were largely panned by critics and failed to meet commercial expectations at the box office.
In addition to his potential future in the Marvel Universe, Gosling’s latest sci-fi venture, Project End of the World, made its global debut earlier this week.
