Connor Storrie, best known for his role in the series Skymed, has reportedly landed a part in the upcoming screen adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s iconic novel, The Bell Jar.
News of Storrie’s casting emerged from the official channels of Parkwood Estate Gardens in Canada, where production for the film took place. While major industry outlets have yet to officially verify his involvement, details regarding his character remain under wraps.
The film will be headlined by singer Billie Eilish, marking her formal debut as a leading actress. The project is being helmed and adapted by Academy Award winner Sarah Polley, celebrated for her work on Women Talking.
The Bell Jar is a semi-autobiographical narrative that mirrors Plath’s own life experiences. It follows Esther Greenwood, an aspiring journalist who suffers a severe mental health collapse at the dawn of her professional career, leading to her institutionalization. An official release date for the film has not yet been announced.
