According to Nexus Point News, Benicio Del Toro — best known for roles in films like The Killer and One Battle After Another — is set to take part in an untitled prequel to Ocean’s Eleven.
Warner Bros., which is producing the picture, along with trade outlets, have not officially confirmed the casting. The project is said to be led by Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper, with Lee Isaac Chung (director of Twisters 2) attached to direct.
Insiders claim the story will focus on Danny Ocean’s parents (the role associated with George Clooney), who pull off a major con in Monaco during the 1960s. The prequel currently has no release date. Earlier reports also indicated development of a 14th Ocean’s installment featuring Clooney and Brad Pitt.
