Rüfüs Du Sol have cemented their place in touring history. The Grammy-winning Australian trio was honored with a commemorative plaque in Sydney after their Inhale / Exhale World Tour became the highest-grossing electronic tour ever, following a record-breaking global run.

Live Nation and Untitled Group presented the band with the plaque this week, acknowledging a tour that sold 750,000 headline tickets and reached roughly 1.5 million attendees across festival and headline performances in 2025.

The Australia and New Zealand leg was a particular highlight: more than 180,000 tickets were sold across stops in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland — each date sold out. The trio also set a new benchmark for Australian acts at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and broke the attendance record at Auckland’s Western Springs (Outer Fields) with a crowd of 25,000.

The Inhale / Exhale era has been both a commercial juggernaut and a critical success. The band’s fifth studio album earned a 2026 Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album and picked up four ARIA Award nominations in 2025. The LP entered the Billboard 200 and produced Rüfüs Du Sol’s first U.S. dance-radio No. 1 with the single “Music Is Better.”

Across nearly 50 headline dates spanning four continents, Rüfüs Du Sol achieved a scale rarely seen in electronic music, filling arenas normally reserved for legacy or multi-genre headliners. The tour featured milestone moments — most notably becoming the first electronic act to headline the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles — and included sets at major festivals such as Lollapalooza.

The Sydney plaque comes as the band extends the tour into 2026. New European arena additions include Dublin, Düsseldorf and Bologna, with headline engagements at notable venues such as London’s The O2, Paris’ Adidas Arena and Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi. South American dates are slated to begin in February, to be followed by a further European leg in spring.
