Rockstar Handcrafted Background Rooms in GTA VI to Enhance Detail
Rockstar hand-crafted every single room in GTA VI, meticulously designing where people sit, what they drink, the marks left on tables, photographs, and even the characters’ tattoos in those pictures.
Even a 26-minute extended demonstration of GTA VI showcased only a small portion of the game world. According to Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut, the developer paid immense attention to environmental details, crafting every room by hand.
Every single room in the game was purposefully designed by someone. Who is sitting where, what they are drinking, what marks are left on the table. Photographs on the walls will feature the people in that room, complete with the tattoos on their arms and their family members in the background.

Every such detail was created, photographed, and placed in a random room of a random building within the massive city.
GTA VI will be released on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
