Halo Composer Marty O’Donnell Says Gamers Are Tired of Agenda in Games While Running for Congress in Nevada
Marty O’Donnell, the composer of the Halo and Destiny series, is running for the US Congress and says he will push back against the agenda in video games under the slogan “Make Halo Great Again.” He is also urging gamers to vote for a candidate who “plays games himself.”
O’Donnell led Bungie’s audio department for many years. He left the studio in 2014 and founded his own company, Highwire Games. He has now moved into politics while continuing to address the gaming audience.
Gamers are frustrated with what is happening to their favorite games. That’s why we have the slogan “Make Halo Great Again.” (…) We are tired of the agenda. This is also the culmination of people’s fatigue with being insulted. (…) We are here together and can become a real political movement. I’m running for Congress, so you have a candidate who plays games himself and writes music for them.

In a separate post, he added that players are tired of the left-wing political agenda in games, films, and comics. He also called on people to unite to “take back our games and our country.”
