Stranger Than Heaven: Snoop Dogg Shows Protagonist Makoto How to Rap in New Story Trailer

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, the team behind the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, will launch its quasi-prequel Stranger Than Heaven in January. As release day nears, the studio has been steadily revealing more of protagonist Makoto Daito’s journey across Japan, which spans several decades. Today’s new story trailer shows Makoto arriving in Japan. It also appears to show him picking up a few rap skills from Orpheus, a character played by Snoop Dogg.
The video is titled “Act 1: Kokura Story Trailer.” It gives a glimpse of how Makoto’s journey begins aboard a large ship, where he pleads with Orpheus to carry him to Japan. His first stop is Kokura in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1915. The story covers 50 years, and Makoto’s path takes him on to Kure, Minami, Atami and, finally, Shinjuku.
