Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to Add Atrium Named for Major Donors Dee and Jimmy Haslam
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced a $10 million investment from Dee and Jimmy Haslam for its new museum expansion project, scheduled to open this fall. The new Haslam Atrium serves as the main public entryway into the museum and features the community stairs, a reception area and bar, and views of Lake Erie.
“We are grateful to Dee & Jimmy Haslam for supporting our transformational expansion,” Greg Harris, president & CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, said in a statement. “This support, along with their generous community investments across education, youth sports, health and human services, parks and public spaces, continues to make a significant impact on the region. As the next 15 million fans from Northeast Ohio and around the world travel to Cleveland to experience the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they will enter the Haslam Atrium and feel the massive scale and cultural impact of rock ‘n’ roll — the power to connect us all.”
Dee and Jimmy Haslam, who are married business executives, sports team owners, and philanthropists, stated: “The Rock Hall is synonymous with Cleveland and its beautiful transformation will continue to affirm its place as a world-class cultural destination, while also reflecting how Northeast Ohio itself keeps reimagining what it can be. We’re honored to help create a communal space for all visitors, united by a shared love and curiosity for music.”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame expansion has progressed since its October 2023 groundbreaking. Construction finishes in the coming months. The 50,000-square-foot addition includes a new multipurpose space for concerts and events, alongside community gardens providing access to the lakefront.
The expanded campus strengthens the Rock Hall capacity to welcome fans, artists, educators, students, and community members upon completion. This space creates opportunities for live music, educational engagement, and public programming while generating economic impact for the region.
More information about the expansion is available on the Rock Hall’s site.
