The first official image from The Werewolf, the latest horror feature by visionary director Robert Eggers—acclaimed for The Witch, The Lighthouse, and Nosferatu—has finally been unveiled.
The atmospheric shot captures Aaron Taylor-Johnson sprinting through a dense forest, flanked by a dog and a pack of wolves.
Set in 13th-century England, the film follows a secluded village besieged by a mysterious, malevolent creature, as local folklore and ancient superstitions transform into a harrowing reality.
Eggers has previously described The Werewolf as the darkest and most terrifying script of his entire career.
The movie is slated for theatrical release on December 25, 2026.
