Resident Evil Requiem Gets First Patch with RTX 50, RTX 40, and Steam Deck Improvements
The development team is systematically addressing the game’s initial technical hurdles.
A new update for the PC version of Resident Evil Requiem has been deployed, totaling approximately 1.4 GB. This patch focuses on refining the title’s overall technical performance and stability.
Specifically, the update resolves a critical issue that caused significant performance degradation for users equipped with GeForce RTX 50 and RTX 40 series graphics cards.
The user interface has also been polished; text blocks now dynamically adjust their dimensions to properly fit localized strings across various supported languages.
- Updated NVIDIA GPU profiles (optimized for driver version 595.71).
- Patched several stability issues that previously triggered unexpected crashes.
Experience on the Steam Deck has also seen a noticeable boost. Players report that the handheld can now maintain a consistent 40 FPS using FSR 3 in “Balanced” mode, thanks to recent engine-level optimizations.
