Resident Evil Requiem Dataminer Finds Traces of Ada Wong and Jill Content
Fans are now eagerly anticipating the arrival of new expansions.
The investigation into Resident Evil Requiem has expanded beyond casual play, with dedicated data miners scouring the game’s code. These community efforts have unearthed remnants of what appear to be Capcom’s original development blueprints.
Current theories suggest that both Jill Valentine and Ada Wong were initially slated for significantly more screen time than they received in the final release.
Specifically, technical references to “Jill_Support” spawn locations have been identified, leading many to believe that Jill was once positioned as a third playable protagonist.
Industry insider Dusk Golem clarified these findings, noting that an early iteration of Resident Evil 9 originally featured Leon and Jill in an online co-op format, though this specific version was ultimately scrapped.
Furthermore, the internal files of Resident Evil Requiem contain traces of Ada Wong, including driving sequences and specific mission objectives that were reportedly removed during the final stages of production. This discovery has sparked hope that Ada’s cut content might be repurposed for a future DLC release.
