According to Wall Street Journal reporter Ben Fritz, a sequel to the acclaimed animated feature Coco is slated for release on November 21, 2029. Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, the creative duo behind the original film, are set to return to the director’s chairs for this follow-up.
Specific details regarding the narrative of the Coco sequel are currently being kept under wraps.
Furthermore, Fritz noted that another original Pixar production, titled Ono Ghost Market, is scheduled to premiere on March 10, 2028. This project draws inspiration from Asian folklore surrounding mystical marketplaces that blur the boundaries between the living world and the spirit realm.
