“Pride” series wins at ORIGINAL+ festival

Moscow recently hosted the fifth annual ORIGINAL+ festival, a premier celebration of content from major streaming platforms. The romantic comedy “Pride” (Gordost), produced by the Wink digital cinema, emerged as the event’s definitive winner.

The series swept the top honors from both the professional jury and media representatives, while also garnering individual awards for Sergey Arutyunyan’s creative directorial vision and Alana Chochieva’s standout lead performance.

The story follows Alana, a gifted chef who flees the pressure of an arranged marriage and entangles a carefree Moscow bartender, Maxim (Alexey Onezhen), in a chaotic family ruse. To appease her traditionalist Caucasian relatives, the pair maintains a staged romance that eventually blossoms into a sincere connection.

Other notable laureates included “Call Vitya!”, “The Black Countess”, “Comeback”, and “Time of the Happy.” A comprehensive list of winners is available on the official ORIGINAL+ website.
