Nintendo has once again taken the top spot in the Japanese video game sales charts, as Rhythm Heaven Groove returned to first place after a brief hiatus. Total physical sales for the game have now surpassed 800,000 copies.

The latest sales data from Famitsu covers the period from August 3 to August 16 and tracks physical retail sales in Japan. Nintendo platforms dominated the top ten positions.

Rhythm Heaven Groove reclaimed the number-one position following a brief drop, holding off competing titles. The release has demonstrated strong commercial momentum across Japan, crossing the 800,000 boxed copies milestone.
