By 2027, fans of the legendary “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” saga will have the opportunity to own a stunning new figure from Hot Toys, depicting a 55-year-old Bruce Wayne bearing the scars of his brutal crusade against crime.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Frank Miller’s seminal comic book series, a gritty masterpiece where a weathered Bruce Wayne comes out of retirement to rescue a Gotham City spiraling into lawlessness.
This is far from the agile, sleek vigilante of his youth. This Dark Knight is a hulking, relentless force of nature, forced to pit his iron will against street gangs, a resurging Joker, and even a government-sanctioned Superman.
Hot Toys has officially unveiled their latest tribute to the franchise: a 1/6 scale collectible figure of the battle-damaged Batman. This highly detailed piece is currently available for pre-order at select retailers for approximately €250.40.
The package features a 32-centimeter muscular physique with over 30 points of articulation, a newly developed Bruce Wayne head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, and a cowl-clad Batman head including three interchangeable lower face plates. It also comes with six sets of interchangeable hands.
The costume includes a meticulously tailored grey batsuit with battle damage, a wired blue cape for dynamic posing, a signature yellow utility belt, plus matching blue gauntlets and boots. A separate cowl accessory is also provided to be held when using the unmasked head sculpt.
The arsenal of accessories contains four batarangs, a batarang with an attached rope, a specialized rifle, and a themed display stand featuring the comic book’s logo. This collector’s item is slated for release between January and June 2027.
