The next chapter in the core RPG series begins in 2027 with the arrival of Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. Developed for the Nintendo Switch 2, Game Freak provided a first look at a vibrant tropical setting and introduced the Generation 10 starter trio: the Fire-type Pombon, the Water-type Browt, and the Grass-type Gecqua. The teaser emphasized a fresh aesthetic direction for the future of the series.

Pokémon Champions Launch Details

The upcoming competitive title, Pokémon Champions, is slated to debut on the Nintendo Switch this April. Mobile trainers won’t have to wait much longer, as the Pokémon Company confirmed that iOS and Android versions are scheduled for release later this year.

The Pokémon Game Boy Jukebox

The “Game Boy Jukebox”—officially titled the Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection—is a miniature device capable of playing 45 iconic chiptune tracks and sound effects. The device operates via physical red and blue cartridges and will be available through the Pokémon Center in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

Pokémon Pokopia Updates

Fans received a fresh look at Pokémon Pokopia gameplay, highlighting a unique boombox transformation for Rotom, known as DJ Rotom. The trailer also showcased an impressive Ditto-themed structure and confirmed the game’s release date for March 5.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A — New Mega Evolution

The upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A continues to expand the fan-favorite mechanic with the reveal of Mega Garchomp Z, a powerful new evolution set to play a significant role in the game’s narrative.

  • Florian (Anniversary 2026) & Ogerpon: Available from Feb. 27 to April 8, 2026.
  • Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos: Available from March 1 to April 8, 2026.

Pokémon Café Remix Anniversary

The 30th-anniversary festivities extend to Pokémon Café Remix, featuring special appearances by the original Kanto starters and a variety of commemorative outfits and cosmetics for the staff.
