PlayStation Players Embrace Xbox Games on PS5 as Avowed Earns High Ratings
Earlier, Forza Horizon 5 established itself as one of the most successful commercial releases on the PS5 for 2025.
Across European digital storefronts, the title secured fourth place, trailing only behind heavyweights like EA Sports FC 26 and Grand Theft Auto V. The project managed to outpace high-profile releases such as Expedition 33 and Ghost of Yotei, surpassing 5 million units sold on Sony’s flagship console.
A remarkably similar trajectory is now unfolding for Avowed following its recent PlayStation 5 debut. Obsidian Entertainment’s RPG has already garnered over 1,200 user ratings on the PlayStation Store, maintaining an impressive average score of 4.62 out of 5. This reception stands in sharp contrast to its performance on Steam, where it holds a significantly lower approval rating of 66%.
The arrival of Avowed on PS5 was accompanied by updates across all platforms. PC and Xbox Series X|S versions were bolstered with a free content expansion, introducing three additional playable races and the highly anticipated New Game+ mode.
