Pixar Animation Studios is officially moving forward with a third installment in the “Monsters, Inc.” franchise, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
While specific plot details remain under wraps, the upcoming film follows the 2001 original and its 2013 prequel, “Monsters University.” Collectively, the cinematic adventures of Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan have grossed a staggering $1.3 billion at the global box office.
In addition to this project, Pixar is actively working on “The Incredibles 3,” which is currently slated for a 2028 release. Meanwhile, the studio’s latest feature, “Hoppers,” is scheduled to make its debut this week.
