Pink Refutes “Trash News” Separation Rumors with Carey Hart in Wry Social Media Post

Pop icon Pink has officially debunked “fake news” reports suggesting she and her husband of nearly two decades, Carey Hart, have separated. The “Trustfall” singer addressed the speculation with a sardonic video filmed in her kitchen, mocking the sudden tabloid interest in her marriage.

“I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband—I didn’t know,” she quipped sarcastically in the video shared Thursday (Feb. 26) on Instagram. With a playful eye-roll, she continued, “Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children?”

Beyond the personal rumors, the hitmaker urged her audience to focus on more pressing global issues. She suggested shifting the conversation toward the Epstein files, systemic racism, or the historic performances of female athletes at the recent Olympics. She also took a moment to celebrate a professional milestone: “Or do you wanna talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock & Roll motherf—in’ Hall of Fame?”

Dismissing the split reports as “trash news,” Pink concluded her message with a blunt directive to media outlets: “You can do better. Night night!”

A Decades-Long Romance

The rumors surfaced on Feb. 26 after an anonymous source claimed the couple had called it quits. Pink and Hart’s relationship dates back to 2001, when they first crossed paths at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia. The pair engaged in 2005 and wed in a scenic Costa Rican ceremony in 2006.

While their journey hasn’t been without hurdles—including a brief, amicable separation in 2008—they reconciled in 2009 and have remained a united front since. They share two children: 13-year-old Willow and 8-year-old Jameson.

In January 2025, Pink honored their 19th wedding anniversary with a poignant tribute to their “gritty and sweet” history. “I’ve been with you longer than I haven’t,” she wrote. “You’ve been my one constant. You have loved me, hated me, and loved me again. I love our story no matter what gets written.”

Career Milestones and “Trustfall”

Professionally, Pink continues to dominate. Her 2023 album, Trustfall, reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, marking her ninth top 10 project. Her recent nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility cements her legacy as a music powerhouse. She stands as one of 17 nominees for the 2026 class, alongside legendary acts like Mariah Carey and Oasis.

Despite the occasional “neck injury” or personal revelation shared on social media, Pink remains steadfast in her commitment to positivity. As she noted in a New Year’s Eve reflection: “I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones.”
