Pavel Priluchny begins filming the comedy “Once Upon a Dog”
Reports have confirmed that production is officially underway for the upcoming feature “Once Upon a Dog.” The family comedy will feature “Silver Spoon” (Major) star Pavel Priluchny in the lead role.
The project is a collaborative effort between Mesto Sily, MEM Cinema Production, the streaming platform Okko, Soyuzmultfilm, and other industry partners. Priluchny will portray a former boxing champion who, after sustaining several head injuries, begins to communicate with the iconic Wolf from the classic Soviet animated short “Once Upon a Dog.”
Priluchny will be joined on screen by a talented ensemble cast, including Nikita Kologrivy, Darya Melnikova, Olga Kartunkova, and Ilya Sobolev. The film is being directed by Stepan Gordeev, known for his work on “The Dyatlov Pass Incident” and “The Magic Lot.” A theatrical release is currently anticipated for 2027.
