Paul Dano to Star in ‘Possession’ Horror Remake
Paul Dano, acclaimed for his roles in There Will Be Blood and Prisoners, has joined the cast of Paramount Pictures’ upcoming remake of Andrzej Żuławski’s 1981 cult horror classic, Possession.
Dano joins previously announced stars Margaret Qualley (The Substance) and Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts). The project is being written and directed by Parker Finn, the filmmaker behind the hit Smile franchise.
The original film centered on a spy in post-war Berlin whose marriage begins to unravel in nightmarish, surreal ways after his wife requests a divorce. The 1981 version starred Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill in the lead roles.
Specific details regarding Dano’s character and the project’s release date remain under wraps. The actor was most recently seen in The Wizard of the Kremlin.
