Paul Dano — known for his roles in There Will Be Blood and The Batman — will star in A24’s forthcoming road comedy Chaperones, Variety reports.
The project was previously led by Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson, who appeared in The Long Walk. India Donaldson (Pretty) is attached to direct.
The plot unfolds after Christmas: three idle friends are hired to chaperone a troubled teenager on a cross‑country journey. Producers on the film include Brad Pitt and Robert Pattinson.
Dano recently had a leading role in The Kremlin Magician. He has also collaborated with A24 before on the surreal comedy Swiss Army Man (pictured).
