Palworld Boss Reprimanded by Team for Playing Too Much Slay the Spire 2, Threatened With Steam Deck Confiscation
The creator of Palworld is reportedly losing himself in a new gaming obsession.
The recent debut of Slay the Spire 2 has proven to be a major event in the industry. This highly anticipated deck-building roguelike has quickly captivated both the gaming community and professional developers alike.
As it turns out, the head of the studio behind Palworld has become particularly enamored with the sequel.
A representative from the Pocketpair team recently shared a snippet of their internal chat on social media. It appears the CEO has been spending so much time with the game that he received a humorous “reprimand” from his own staff.
Despite colleagues jokingly threatening to confiscate his Steam Deck, the warnings went unheeded. Follow-up photos show him back at it, with the team claiming that Slay the Spire 2 has “effectively taken over his life.”
