Ozark Star to Star in Religious Romantic Thriller
Emmy-winning actress Julia Garner, known for her acclaimed roles in Ozark and Inventing Anna, has been tapped to star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Guilty Creatures✱trans. Guilty Creatures, according to Deadline.
The project is an adaptation of Mikita Brottman’s true-crime book, Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida. The narrative follows a devout Baptist couple, Brian and Denise, who committed a murder and managed to conceal their crime for eighteen years.
Craig Gillespie (Pam & Tommy) is set to direct, with Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies) penning the script. Garner will also serve as a producer on the series.
Most recently, Garner appeared in the buzzworthy horror film The Apartment and joined the ensemble cast for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Furthermore, she recently wrapped filming on the second season of The Studio, starring alongside Madonna.
