Tubi has built an impressive catalog of movies and television shows since it launched in 2014. Alongside modern hits like Mean Girls and Jurassic World and cult classics like The Outer Limits and Tales From the Crypt, the service is currently streaming one of the most beloved action TV shows of the 1970s.

All five seasons of the original run of Charlie’s Angels are currently available to stream for free on Tubi. The live-action series centers on a trio of female private investigators nicknamed Angels by their unseen employer, Charlie. They solve crimes in the Los Angeles area. The series originally starred Farrah Fawcett as Jill Munroe, Kate Jackson as Sabrina Duncan, and Jaclyn Smith as Kelley Garrett. Fawcett exited the series at the end of its first season. Cheryl Ladd joined the cast in Season 2 as Jill’s sister, Kristine Kris Munroe. Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts also joined the series in later seasons. Other cast members included John Forsythe as the voice of Charlie and David Doyle as John Bosley.

Charlie’s Angels ran for 115 episodes across five years. The show was one of the first procedural television programs to center around female leads. It helped cement Fawcett as one of the biggest stars of the 1970s and featured feminist themes amid its campy aesthetic.

The series originally premiered on September 22, 1976. Earlier this month, viewers of the Primetime Emmy Awards saw a reunion of cast members when Smith, Jackson, and Ladd appeared onstage together to present the award for Outstanding Drama Series.

The premise of Charlie’s Angels evolved into a full-blown franchise after the initial run ended. Two movies, 2000’s Charlie’s Angels and 2003’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, served as direct continuations of the show. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu starred as the next generation of Angels. Both films received mixed reviews upon release, but they have since become cult classics in their own right.

A television reboot of Charlie’s Angels followed in 2011. Created by Smallville and Wednesday alums Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the show starred Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, and Annie Ilonzeh as the Angels. This series is also available to stream in its entirety on Tubi. The reboot was canceled after seven episodes, and the franchise remained mostly dormant except for comic book spin-offs published by Dynamite Entertainment.

A film revival directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska premiered in 2019. It received mixed reviews and became a box office disappointment, grossing 73.3 million dollars worldwide on a budget of 48 to 55 million dollars. Another movie reboot was reported to be in the works, written by The Proposal writer Pete Chiarelli.
