At CES 2026, AMD unveiled a diverse lineup of 11 new products, yet only two were dedicated to the gaming sector. The bulk of the announcements centered on artificial intelligence and high-performance server architecture.
The company showcased its Helios AI server rack along with the new Ryzen AI 400 and Ryzen AI Max processors, specifically engineered for Copilot+ laptops and capable of delivering up to 60 TOPS of NPU performance. The reveal also included the Ryzen AI Pro 400, Ryzen AI Max+, Ryzen AI Halo, the ROCm 7.2 software stack, and the Instinct MI440X and MI500 accelerators, alongside the announcement of FSR Redstone ML Ray-Tracing technology.
For the gaming community, AMD’s offerings were notably sparse, featuring only the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and supplementary details regarding FSR Redstone ML Ray-Tracing—a lineup that industry analysts described as relatively modest.
Ultimately, AMD’s presentation reflects a decisive pivot toward artificial intelligence, prioritizing it over traditional gaming in a move that mirrors the current trajectory of the entire technology industry.
