Olivia Rodrigo Visits Planned Parenthood to Discuss Reproductive Rights: ‘Women & Girls Matter to Me’

As she counts down to her landmark Daisy Chain Fields festival, Olivia Rodrigo is doubling down on her advocacy for reproductive rights, recently stopping by Planned Parenthood’s Los Angeles headquarters to spotlight the facility’s essential services and everyday mission.

In a series of videos shared by the non-profit organization on Tuesday, August 4, the Grammy-winning pop sensation sat down with Jodi Hicks, president of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, alongside Rachel Rodriguez from the L.A. chapter. Together, they tackled common misconceptions, explored the scope of care provided, and outlined what patients can genuinely expect during a visit.

“Just walking around and witnessing everyone dedicated to their specific roles here is genuinely inspiring,” Rodrigo remarked during the discussion. “Seeing so many individuals united behind a single, shared purpose is truly remarkable.”

In another segment, Rodrigo took on a rapid-fire challenge, successfully naming as many Planned Parenthood healthcare services as possible within a 15-second window—ranging from abortion care and UTI treatments to vasectomies and gender-affirming support. Elaborating on her steadfast commitment, she told viewers: “Planned Parenthood matters deeply to me because women and girls matter. I trust women and girls completely to make their own choices regarding their bodies and futures.”

Back in June, Rodrigo announced her upcoming concert event scheduled for August 29 in Irvine, California, boasting an all-female lineup featuring Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks, KATSEYE, and more. All proceeds from the festival will directly benefit organizations like Planned Parenthood that champion women’s health and wellness resources.

“I’ve envisioned bringing this festival to life for years, and I am beyond thrilled that it’s finally happening!” Rodrigo shared at the time of the announcement. “I firmly believe that music, community, and shared joy can ignite genuine progress, and I hope this festival becomes a powerful catalyst for that.”

Leading up to the Daisy Chain Fields event, the singer has also connected with the Center for Reproductive Rights, consulting with legal minds who fight tirelessly for gender equality and bodily autonomy in the courtroom.

The artist has consistently used her massive platform to champion reproductive freedoms, raising upwards of $2 million for the cause via her Fund 4 Good initiative throughout her Guts World Tour, which ultimately earned her Planned Parenthood’s 2025 Catalyst of Change honor.
