Olivia Dean Calls Out Ticketmaster Over Tour Resale Prices: “You Are Providing a Disgusting Service”

On Friday, November 21, 2025, British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean publicly criticized major ticketing firms after resale listings for her 2026 North American dates surged to exorbitant prices. Dean singled out Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AEG Presents, saying the resale market was undermining fans’ access to live shows.

Tickets for The Art of Loving Tour went on sale the same day and sold out within minutes. When secondary-market offers began listing seats for thousands of dollars, Dean took to her Instagram Stories to call attention to the problem and urge better protections for concertgoers. She also warned fans that her team was investigating irregularities around resales and pricing, urging caution when buying tickets from third parties and commenters who might be attempting scams.

Ticketmaster later reshared Dean’s message on its own Instagram Story and said it would cap resale prices on its platform at face value, encouraging other resellers to adopt similar limits. The company has previously outlined its Face Value Exchange — a system intended to give fans priority access to tickets at the price set by artists — in a July blog post.

Tour dates and recent momentum

Dean’s 2026 tour begins in the U.K. and Europe, opening in Glasgow in April and concluding that leg in Dublin on June 20. Her North American run is scheduled to start in San Francisco on July 10 and finish in Austin on August 28, with stops planned in Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, Toronto, Las Vegas, Boston and Houston. Her New York City engagement includes four performances at Madison Square Garden.

Earlier this year Dean supported Sabrina Carpenter on the final leg of the Short n’ Sweet Tour before announcing her own headlining dates in early November.

The singer has picked up considerable momentum recently: she made her Saturday Night Live debut on November 15, performed in Australia (including a Sydney show and an appearance at the 2025 ARIA Awards), and currently places multiple songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Her single “Man I Need” sits among the chart’s top tracks, and her album The Art of Loving is also charting in the upper tier of the Billboard 200 dated November 22.
