The press office of the START streaming service revealed record viewership figures for the comedy series Oldskul.
Since its premiere, the show led by Maria Aronova has accumulated a total of 30 million views. Oldskul also aired on the TNT channel and was available on the PREMIER platform. The first season comprises 17 episodes.
The series follows the exacting mathematics teacher Maria Trifonova (Aronova). She takes a position at an elite school hoping to restore her relationship with her only granddaughter. At the institution, Maria encounters a new world defined by freedom and technology, where she must teach the spoiled children of the wealthy.
The cast also includes Yefim Shifrin, Roman Mayakin, Igor Khripunov, Taisia Kalinina, and others. The show’s creative producers are Stanislav Gunko and Sergey Lebedev (known for Sisters).
The creators have already begun work on a second season, which is scheduled to premiere on September 1, 2026.
