During Thursday morning’s State of Play broadcast, Sony revealed that a striking Grand Theft Auto 6-themed DualSense wireless controller will soon join the PlayStation 5 hardware lineup.

This sophisticated peripheral boasts a sleek black-and-white color scheme, complemented by glossy purple accents and subtle palm tree engravings. The touchpad features a prominent Roman numeral “VI” flanked by matching tropical decals, while the rear casing proudly displays the iconic GTA insignia. Retailing for $84, the collectible gamepad is available for pre-order now through direct purchase from Sony or major authorized retailers, ahead of its official launch alongside GTA 6 on November 19, 2026.

“These limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers capture the style and luxury of Vice City,” notes the official promotional teaser. Fans can preview the fresh hardware in the video clip below:

Upgrading your hardware might prove essential; with GTA 6 rumored to reintroduce traditional L3 sprinting, players anticipate that the sprawling, 80-hour campaign will place considerable wear and tear on existing controllers. Furthermore, the title will fully leverage advanced DualSense capabilities, including immersive haptic feedback and dynamic adaptive triggers. Although Sony has not yet announced a dedicated hardware bundle combining the console, game, and custom controller, the immense marketing push behind GTA 6 suggests a comprehensive package could be on the horizon—especially as an ideal showcase for the PS5 Pro’s graphical enhancements.

Grand Theft Auto 6 launches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19.

Eager fans are dissecting whether Jason and Lucia’s movement mechanics will mirror John Marston’s weighty traversal in Red Dead Redemption 2.
