Not a Bug but a Feature: Nikita Buyanov Confirms Escaping Tarkov Isn’t for Everyone
Players who reached the evacuation boat ran into an unwelcome limit on available spots.
With the launch of Escape from Tarkov 1.0, players finally gained the ability to extract from Tarkov. During an evacuation, one player encountered a situation that many at first assumed was a bug.
axel__tv reported:
If you finish “Terminal” as a five-person team, there won’t be room on the boat for everyone.
A corner notification appears stating that “the boat cannot take everyone. Evacuation will only begin once three people remain on the pier.”
Battlestate Games’ head, Nikita Buyanov, reacted to the post with a terse “Aha.”
This is by design: the developers intended the boat to rescue only three players. The others will die with the status “Missing in Action” once the timer runs out — they will have to restart the raid.
