Securing the latest spoils has proven to be a challenge for many.
The developers of Arc Raiders recently expanded the game by introducing new adversaries and the “Weather Monitoring System” project.
While the community breezed through the initial phase, a significant number of players found themselves stalled at the second stage. To progress, one must deliver a “Comet Ignition Device,” a specific item dropped by a newly introduced robotic unit.
Combatants noticed a peculiar issue: after taking down a “Comet,” two distinct loot interaction points appear. One functions as intended, while the other remains completely unresponsive to inputs:
Although many initially dismissed this as a bug, veteran players have clarified that the “affected” users are simply failing to eliminate the Comet correctly.
Upon engaging a player, the Comet attempts to charge and self-destruct. If it successfully detonates on its own, it will fail to drop the coveted Comet Ignition Device.
To successfully harvest the loot, you must neutralize the machine before it triggers its internal explosives. If done precisely, the second loot interaction point will become active and accessible.
Experienced Raiders recommend utilizing “Wolfpack” grenades to quickly dismantle the Comet, noting that they are equally effective against “Fireflies.”
