Nonna Grishaeva to play Belladonna in “Funtik”
Nonna Grishaeva, celebrated for her role in Daddy’s Daughters, is set to embody the infamous villainess Belladonna in the upcoming feature film Funtik. Distributor Volga has scheduled the movie’s theatrical release for June 10, 2027.
This live-action reimagining of the beloved Soviet animated classic The Adventures of Funtik the Piglet follows the protagonist, depicted here as a young boy working within Belladonna’s traveling circus. Upon discovering that he has been exploited by her for years, Funtik orchestrates an escape, embarking on a daring adventure alongside a group of loyal companions, all while being pursued by Belladonna’s relentless henchmen.
The ensemble cast features Matvey Tarakanov, Yan Tsapnik, Maksim Lagashkin, Eva Smirnova, Valentina Lyapina, Roman Kurtsyn, Vadim Galygin, and Yuri Galtsev. The film is helmed by director Mitriy Semenov-Aleynikov, known for the Not Alone at Home trilogy.
