Noah Baumbach has inked a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. and its newly established independent label, Clockwork. The filmmaker’s debut project under this partnership will be an untitled feature film slated for a wide theatrical release, with production scheduled to commence in 2027.

Plot specifics remain under wraps. According to Variety, the narrative will center on two college students navigating life in New York City. Further details regarding the project, including the cast and official release date, have yet to be disclosed.

This marks Baumbach’s first venture since concluding his tenure with Netflix, a partnership that began in 2021. During that time, he directed “White Noise” and “Jelly,” following his earlier acclaimed works “The Meyerowitz Stories” and “Marriage Story.” This new agreement signals the director’s return to a traditional theatrical distribution model.
