GQ has unveiled the first official still from the intense thriller “Heart of the Beast,” featuring Brad Pitt in the lead role.
The film is directed by David Ayer (“Suicide Squad”) and is slated for an international theatrical release on September 25.
The story follows a former special forces operative who, accompanied by his combat dog, becomes stranded in the Alaskan wilderness following a crash. The pair must embark on a grueling journey to find civilization and survive the elements.
J.K. Simmons appears in a supporting role, while the screenplay was penned by Cameron Alexander (“Mindcage”). Pitt also serves as a producer on the project. He was most recently seen on the big screen in last year’s Formula 1 drama.
