New StarCraft and Wolfenstein shooters in development, insiders claim
It appears that the next chapter in the StarCraft universe will pivot away from its RTS roots to explore an entirely different genre.
Discussion surrounding StarCraft has intensified recently as new reports suggest that Blizzard Entertainment may be preparing a fresh installment for the franchise.
According to insights from Windows Central journalist and industry insider Jez Corden, a shooter set within the StarCraft universe is “highly likely” to be officially unveiled during BlizzCon 2026.
The project is reportedly a third-person shooter that has already been in active development for several years.
Furthermore, another prominent insider, eXtas1stv, recently shared that MachineGames is currently working on Wolfenstein III. The title is allegedly planned for a simultaneous release alongside Amazon’s upcoming Wolfenstein television adaptation.
