The anticipation is palpable: following a string of successful singles and his recent “Contra” event in Berlin, Skrillex is officially shifting into high gear. The electronic music pioneer has just unveiled plans for his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Soma.
Skrillex took to his Instagram Stories on Monday to share both the album title and its comprehensive track list. While an official release date remains under wraps, the 13-track project promises a dynamic collection of sounds. Notable inclusions are the Young Miko collaboration “Duro,” the fresh take “La Noche 2”—a reimagining of his 2025 team-up with Chris Lake and Anita B Queen—and his latest release, “Thistle,” featuring Randomer, Blawan, and MC Dricka.
Soma marks the producer’s first proper LP since the April 2025 release of his sprawling 46-minute megamix, F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3. That project followed his whirlwind 2023, which saw the back-to-back releases of Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close—a pair of albums that arrived nearly a decade after his 2014 debut, Recess.
This creative resurgence mirrors the energy surrounding his legendary pop-up performances in New York City alongside Fred again.. and Four Tet, which famously culminated in a sold-out Madison Square Garden takeover.
Looking ahead, Skrillex has a packed summer itinerary. Fans can catch him at Primavera Sound in Barcelona this weekend, as well as headlining slots at Bonnaroo, Kappa Future Festival, Dekmantel, Sziget, and Boomtown. Perhaps most exciting for long-time supporters, he will be reuniting with Boys Noize at Portola to revive their classic early-2010s project, Dog Blood.
