<p>Set within a gritty, dark-fantasy reimagining of 14th-century Europe, <em>The Blood of Dawnwalker</em> is an expansive open-world action RPG. You take on the role of Coen, a formidable warrior skilled in medieval combat who spends his nights wading through hordes of malevolent supernatural foes. The pedigree here is impossible to miss: Rebel Wolves was founded by veterans who cut their teeth on <em>The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt</em>, and that influence permeates every frame.</p>

<p>The latest showcase provides a haunting glimpse into Coen’s transformation—starting with a harrowing infection—before transitioning into a display of predatory prowess. Coen is no mere swordsman; he maneuvers across rooftops with lethal grace, utilizes short-range teleports to overwhelm enemies, and shatters foes with sheer psychic force. <p>Rebel Wolves has hinted that Coen’s journey extends far beyond the events of <em>The Blood of Dawnwalker</em> this September. An additional trailer teased a more grounded, weary side of the protagonist: a modern-day Coen lounging in a chair, calling in a delivery of blood bags as if he were simply ordering takeout after a long night out.</p>

<p>"We’re beginning his saga in a 14th-century fantasy world that players already find compelling, but we plan to subvert expectations by exploring the unique landscape of the Carpathian Mountains," says narrative director Jakub Szamałek. "Future chapters will venture into entirely new cultures, locations, and time periods, keeping the narrative fresh and unpredictable."</p>

<p><em>The Blood of Dawnwalker</em> arrives on September 3 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.</p>
