New Resident Evil Runtime Revealed
The AMC Theatres website has unveiled the official runtime for the upcoming Resident Evil adaptation. According to the updated listing, Zach Cregger’s horror feature will clock in at 1 hour and 35 minutes.
This makes the impending reboot one of the shortest feature-length entries in the franchise to date. The director previously emphasized his commitment to a high-octane narrative pace and the atmospheric tension characteristic of the classic Capcom games, deliberately opting to avoid an overextended duration.
The film stars Austin Abrams, Paul Walter Hauser, and Zach Cherry in lead roles. The new Resident Evil is slated for a theatrical release on September 18, 2026.
