New PS5 Firmware Required for GTA 6 Hacked
In early October, it was reported that playing Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and PS5 Pro would require firmware version 14.10.00.00. That update addressed a vulnerability exposed by the release of the public Relapse exploit, which provided access to console firmware versions 7.00 through 13.60.

Version 14.10 has now been hacked too, according to the source article, which points to an October 19 post from Gezine (@gezine_dev). The article connects the effort to Sony’s policies on physical media.

Sony now needs to find a way to patch the newly discovered vulnerability. The source notes that the company will be hoping no further exploits emerge in the month leading up to the launch of GTA VI. If one does, Sony will need to respond to another jailbreak just as quickly.
