Netflix has unveiled fresh stills from its upcoming miniseries adaptation of Jane Austen’s literary masterpiece, “Pride and Prejudice.” The production is scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform on December 3rd.

Set against the backdrop of late 18th-century England, the narrative follows the Bennet family as they navigate the societal pressures of securing wealthy suitors for their five daughters. Their tranquil existence is upended by the arrival of a prosperous gentleman, Mr. Bingley, in the neighborhood. Soon, the spirited Elizabeth Bennet finds herself entangled in a complex dynamic with his aloof and enigmatic friend, Mr. Darcy.

The ensemble cast features an array of acclaimed talent, including Emma Corrin (“The Crown”), Jack Lowden (“Slow Horses”), Olivia Colman (“The Favourite”), Rufus Sewell (“The Diplomat”), Louis Partridge (“Enola Holmes”), and Fiona Shaw (“Killing Eve”). The project is helmed by director Euros Lyn (“Doctor Who”), with the screenplay penned by Dolly Alderton (“Everything I Know About Love”).

The most recent cinematic interpretation of the novel was Joe Wright’s 2005 feature film, which starred Keira Knightley as Elizabeth.
