New Fan-Favorite Character Joins Invincible VS with Early Access Opportunity
While the full debut of Invincible VS is slated for next month, fans can experience the visceral, tag-team action early and at no cost. Developer Quarter Up and publisher Skybound Games have revealed that an open beta for Invincible VS will run from April 9 through April 11. This testing phase is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, meaning PC enthusiasts will have to wait for the final retail release.
The beta roster features ten of the eighteen fighters scheduled for launch, including iconic figures like Invincible, Atom Eve, and the formidable Omni-Man. Conspicuously absent from the trial is Ella-Mental, an original character debuted at last year’s Game Awards. Unlike the brute-force style of the Viltrumites, her combat style focuses on manipulating the elements, though she remains more than capable of delivering physical strikes when the situation demands it.
Players will also get their first hands-on experience with the recently unveiled Allen the Alien. Portrayed by Seth Rogen in the Amazon Prime adaptation, Allen serves as a key ally to Mark, eventually evolving into a warrior capable of challenging the Viltrumite empire’s mightiest champions.
Speaking on the game’s design philosophy, Executive Producer Mike Willette emphasized the team’s commitment to creating a “tournament-quality, brutal superhuman fighting game” with intricate tag mechanics. He noted that the primary objective at Quarter Up is to ensure every player “looks and feels like a badass” during combat.
The Invincible VS open beta kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on April 9, concluding at midnight on April 11. The complete experience arrives on April 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Additionally, a Year 1 Character Pass has been confirmed, which will expand the roster with four additional fighters—the first two of which are slated for a June arrival.
