Netflix to adapt Japanese game Persona

Netflix has officially announced the development of a live-action series based on the acclaimed Japanese video game franchise, Persona.

Christopher Manfetti, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard and 9-1-1, will serve as the showrunner. The production team includes executive producer Shawn Levy, celebrated for his work on Stranger Things.

Launched in 1996, the Persona series centers on high school students navigating supernatural phenomena while grappling with the complexities of their inner lives and social surroundings. The franchise has previously been adapted into various media, including anime and manga.
