2026 is shaping up to be a monumental year for KPop Demon Hunters. The animated sensation recently garnered significant acclaim, securing two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. With a highly anticipated sequel already greenlit, Netflix is reportedly looking to extend the film’s cultural footprint by organizing a global concert tour for the fictional K-pop group, Huntr/x.
According to a report from Bloomberg, the streaming giant aims to capitalize on the movie’s widespread popularity and its chart-topping soundtrack. Netflix is currently in negotiations with major concert promoters to bring the film’s high-energy musical numbers to live stages around the world.
While the proposal is still in its nascent stages, the specific details regarding the setlist and performers remain somewhat ill-defined. The film features two distinct musical acts: Huntr/x, voiced by Ejae (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey), and the Saja Boys, whose vocal cast—including Kevin Woo, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Neckwav, and SamUIL Lee—has yet to debut in a live capacity alongside their counterparts.

Despite the logistical complexity, Netflix’s ambition is evident: the world tour is tentatively scheduled for next year, serving as a prelude to the release of KPop Demon Hunters 2. The tour is expected to visit several global metropolises, targeting arenas with capacities of up to 20,000 fans.
Given the immense popularity of the franchise, the tour is poised for success, though the transition from studio recording to a global stage is formidable. Until last year, Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami had never performed together as a live unit. Their primary focus has been the hit single “Golden,” which is an exceptionally demanding track that required extensive vocal coaching to master for live audiences.
To deliver a full-length show, the trio would need to apply that same level of rigor to other favorites like “Takedown,” “How It’s Done,” and “What It Sounds Like.” This represents a significant undertaking, particularly as the performers remain in high demand following the film’s debut. With potential recording sessions for the sequel also on their plates, the workload is substantial.
However, a technological solution may be on the table. Bloomberg reports that while live performances are the primary goal, Netflix is also exploring the use of virtual technology, including holograms. A hybrid tour featuring both live appearances and digital avatars could provide a balanced approach, delivering the spectacle fans expect while managing the physical demands on the vocalists.
Huntr/x has already successfully navigated high-profile appearances on Jimmy Kimmel and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. While a full-scale world tour is a much larger commitment, it has the potential to become a defining event in modern entertainment.
